Open Access
Open access lets commercial and industrial consumers buy green power from a solar plant located away from their premises. Kamaxi Electricals helps you plan and build captive or group-captive solar under the open access policy, so you can use clean power at a lower cost.
Since 2011 we have supported industries with solar and electrical projects in Gujarat.
We guide you through feasibility, land, connectivity and approvals, then build the plant and the evacuation infrastructure. Open access suits consumers with large loads who do not have enough roof or land at their own premises.
How we support your open access project:
- Feasibility study and load assessment
- Approvals, connectivity and documentation support
- Plant construction and evacuation infrastructure
Who can use solar open access?
Generally, consumers with a sanctioned load above the minimum limit set by the state regulator. We check your eligibility under the current Gujarat policy.
What is captive and group-captive solar?
In captive solar you own the plant; in group-captive several consumers jointly own it. Both let you use the solar power at your own premises through the grid.
What charges apply under open access?
Transmission, wheeling and other charges as notified by the regulator apply. We include these in the feasibility study so you see the real saving.
How long does an open access project take?
Timelines depend on land, connectivity approval and plant size. We prepare a project schedule after the feasibility study.
