Ground-Mound
When roof space is not enough, a ground-mounted solar plant on open land can deliver much larger capacity. Kamaxi Electricals executes ground-mounted plants from site survey and land levelling to piling, structures, modules and grid connection.
Since 2011 we have built ground-mounted plants and substations in Gujarat.
We plan the layout for the best output from your land, design foundations for the soil and wind conditions, and build the plant with proper drainage, fencing and access roads for cleaning. We also handle the evacuation line and substation work.
What a ground-mounted plant from Kamaxi includes:
- Site survey, contour study and layout design
- Foundations, structures, modules and cabling
- Evacuation line, substation and grid connection
How much land is needed per MW?
A fixed-tilt ground-mounted plant typically needs about 3.5 to 4.5 acres per MW, depending on module type, tilt and row spacing.
What type of foundation is used?
We use concrete pedestals or piles depending on the soil test results and the wind conditions at the site.
Do you handle the evacuation line and substation?
Yes. We design and build the evacuation line, switchyard and substation along with the solar plant.
How is a ground-mounted plant maintained?
Regular module cleaning, vegetation control, inspection of structures and connections, and monitoring of inverter data keep the plant at full output.
